Something Special for the Children?
Hello All -
We were hoping to do something special and surprise the children, DD 15 & DS 13- for an upcoming trip.......WDW is home away from home for us.
So disappointed that the Keys to Kingdom tour is 16 and up as DS is older then his years and would have loved it along with DD.
The other 'family' tours seems perhaps too young for them. I thought about the Luau but with picky eats, yes even at these ages I hate to spend money on what they might not eat.
Looking for suggestions......ideas???????

How about the Seas Aqua Tour at Epcot in the Seas with Nemo. You get to go into the 6 million gallon tank and snorkel with the fish! I did that a few years ago with my DS when he was 11. He LOVED it!

If they like water sports, try out Sammy Duvall's over at the CR. DH and my boys went tubing last month and had a blast. It was $150 for an hour plus an option tip for the captain. I think the boat will take up to 6 people.

How about a fireworks cruise? There are no age requirements for that.

The Dessert party is a hit, if you haven't done it before.
But, the most fun DD ever had at Disney is when we did "4 parks and 4 transportation methods" in one day. We did an attraction in each park, and took the bus, boat, monorail and drove all in the same day.
Silly yes, fun, YES!
Since they've been so often, could each of them get to plan "their day", where everyone does what they plan?

My son is13 and did the surfing at Typhoon Lagoon and loved it. The instructors were great. He has also done the parasailing.

Been to WDW more times than I can count since 1972. Stayed at BLT, AKV, WLV, SSR, POP, CBR, CR, FW Cabins, all the All Stars and also off site. Been to DL 3 times, 4 cruises on the Magic and went on the Dream Inaugural Cruise.

Hello I myself am a teenager and perhaps a nice surprise would be their own room for the entire trip if you haven't already booked? I know I would love to have my own room if I went to Disney. Or another basic surprise would be to have a longer vacation perhaps? Maybe treat them to a day at DTD with endless Disney Quest, hot air balloon ride, or splitsville, Cirque de Soliel or the eat in movie theater?

I second this! We just did one on our trip a few weeks ago and everyone in our family really enjoyed it. We had never done one before but it was on my Disney Bucket list. My kids (DS26, DS24, DS14, DD13, and DD8) all loved it and have already asked if we can do it again.
