    Default Help me decide!

Somehow, when I made all my ressies a couple months ago via the computer, NONE of them got through. However, I ended up getting all of them I wanted thanks to a wonderful guy (Rick) at Disney Dining and some pixie dust.

But now I have a quandary ... I have a double booking I need to correct. So ... for our last night (anniversary trip) ... should be go for
Be Our Guest .... OR ..... 'Ohana??

Yesterday when I was redoing all the ressies, I was not able to book 'Ohana, but Rick found me Be Our Guest. My husband loves 'Ohana, but I am trying to decide if we want to try something new, or go for a tried and true .... AND it is perfect timing to see Wishes from 'Ohana.

And just the list of everything else in case that helps in the advice giving. . .

Rose and Crown -- first night dinner
    Boma
    Le Cellier -- lunch
Garden Grill (another of hubby's favorites)
    Akershus

My vote would be Be Our Guest. I've yet to go but I've heard the atmosphere and the food are great. I love Ohana but I wouldn't pass up a Be Our Guest dinner ressie.

If I could have both, that's what I'd do. I'd definitely take the BOG and see if you can cancel one of the others for Ohana

I will go against the grain and say Ohana.

BOG really does not interest me at all. I can go in at lunch to see it.

I would have to say Ohana. It's one of my FAVORITE places to eat. BOG is not my kind of place but I would like to have dessert there at lunch time

You already have a couple of "all you can eat" ressie's, might be nice for a more traditional one. As others have said, BOG is very difficult to get. I love Ohana and we usually do it each trip, but if I hadn't done BOG I'd probably take that over Ohana at least for one opportunity.

The other option would be to see if you can get Ohana for another night. I would take Ohana over any of the others that you have listed. We did Garden Grill on our last visit, first time eating there, and I will say I was somewhat underwhelmed, certainly nothing that I'd go out of my way to get again. I like Boma, but its buffet, so I'd definitely take Ohana over that. I've actually never eaten dinner at R&C. Beer yes, food no.

I am pretty much in this camp, too. If I were you, I would study the menu to see if that would sway you either way.

I enjoyed lunch at BOG and that was good enough for me. The space is lovely, but very large, open and not very intimate. Ohana dinner seems cozy and comfortable.

    I am really hungry....

And then that BOG reservation is pretty near impossible to get, I can see your dilemma.....

Good luck. Sorry, I am pretty sure I was no help at all.

Unless there is something you really want to try on the BOG menu or you really want to see the Beast, I would go with Ohana since your husband loves it and do BOG for lunch.

    Default I love Pixie Dust!

I managed to move the BOG and keep the Ohana, so I did get both of them!

I am tempted to ditch the Akershus, since it isn't what it used to be. We loved it when they had a more Norwegian menu -- they used to do Cardamon Waffles as the base for a savory dish -- but they have gone much more to American tastes. Although it is one of the few places I get herring.

Thanks so much for the advice!

I agree about Akershus, we used to love it. In fact it was a "comfort food" place for my kids when they were little. Many of the old dishes they served are what they grew up with (although we are not Norwegian)

I'm going to go that way with you. Although I have never eaten at BoG, I *love* Ohana and have eaten there multiple times. The food at BoG doesn't interest me as much as the atmosphere, so we're going to do lunch there in September.

Ohana is great food, great atmosphere, depending on your res time, you can either head outside to watch Wishes from the beach or at least see it from the restaurant. Also there's a lounge right outside to have a drink before dinner while waiting for your table.
