Disney Music Apps/Stations gripe

I've been listening to some different Disney parks music recently via apps or Live 365, and I'm really enjoying doing my housework to ride throughs of Pirates or the old Journey Into Imagination. Not sure why I haven't listened to these stations sooner.

But, I do have a gripe. On more than one of the stations I've listened to, all of sudden, on comes Toto or Avril Lavigne or Michael Jackson (not Captain EO) or some other random artist, and I look at the description and it's labeled as Pop Century. Seriously? Just because it's played as background music at PC (for reasons totally understandable), does not make it Disney music.

Okay, gripe over. I feel better.

Problem solved: stop listening to Live365 and make your own library... LoL...

I have heard some weird songs played on some of these Live365 channels, and all claiming to be Disney theme park music, when the songs aren't remotely related to Disney...

I hate that! I had something similar happen today when I was listening to an "80s Smash Hits" channel and MMMBop by Hanson came on. Definitely NOT 80s and NOT what I wanted to hear!

Uh, that has never happened to me. If it did, I would just stop listening to that particular station.

I have found about 3 stations that I rotate through and they play what seems to be the same long loop of songs I find acceptable, except when "Wishes" comes on. I'm glad I can switch the channel when that happens.

Well Leanne Rimes did sing one of the theme songs for one of the celebrations, so I guess that counts as a Disney song LOL....

I've had the best luck with MouseWorld Radio. There are some annoying loops (like a too many of Morockin' songs in a row), but it rocks otherwise. Full American Adventure, Illuminations, Spaceship Earth, etc. When the bad stuff hits, I switch over to Studios Central.

I'm thankful for these stations, as Disney has always been stinkers about park soundtrack releases.

This is one of the offenders though. But yes, generally it's pretty good.

I must say, I recently heard what sounded like the Jungle Cruise queue loop on MWR, and it was as long as the line. Consumed my entire yardwork daydream time.

Maybe the song is played as background somewhere? No idea... I wouldn't ever include singles on a Disney music channel, especially if it is dedicated to theme parks...

Now, if it was just a Disney music channel, playing all their songs, then I can understand some Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and others being included... of course, I'd block that station in a heartbeat...
