Planning Day Before....?

OK...In 25 days we arrive the day before our package begins and plans are to go jump on the monorail and check-out the Holiday Decorations on the "Rail Loop". We plan on eating Counter Service SOMEWHERE but where. We will not be going into a Park this evening. Gonna say we are going to end up at the Poly, but not sure Captain Cooks is our place?
Does not have to be a monorail resort, does not have to be on property, we have our car! Where would YOU suggest ?

How about Downtown Disney? We always eat at Wolfgang Puck Express on arrival night, it is delicious!

Miller's Ale House on International Dr. close to the convention center is really good and the prices are great. It is also close to some other things such as miniature golf and Ripley's if you want something to do that evening. We had fresh seafood entree's that were great. They also have a wide selection of beers if you are into that sort of thing. They have a website you can check out and they usually have happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers.

There is also a Bubba Gump's restaurant on International Dr that is really good and has a fun atmosphere.

There is even a CiCi's pizza where the whole family can eat for around $25 if you want to save a few bucks. You can get discount coupons in most of those tourist books and coupon books at all the stores and hotels in the area. Just stroll into one of the hotels on International Dr. and they are located in the lobby.

There are tons of restaurants as well as things to do on International Dr. and you can park and walk so it is a good place to have some fun and kill an evening. I prefer International Dr. over Downtown Disney any day.

I would visit one of these before doing over priced mediocre counter service at WDW since you have a car.

WOW menu looks awesome AND... There's one on Apopka-Vineland Road, RIGHT outside the entrance to Lake Buena Vista end of DISNEY PROPERTY.
