CBR Retreat Pre-Trip

Me-Over excited, planned the trip, packed for 2 days, taking a break from school for this trip!!

Pre-trip report Saturday 10/13/12

This is a combo pretrip report and first day plan. I couldn't get an early flight like usual, so we're not leaving Milwaukee until 4:50pm today. I was a little bummed about this at first because I like to get there around noon and spend the first day in a park, but I recently saw on Disney's website that Magic Kingdom is open until midnight tonight, so if we have enough energy left when we get there around 10pm we may head over for a couple hours.

To put things in reverse for a sec, I should explain that this trip is just my hubby and me. Kids are 18 and 22 now so they're going to hold the fort down while we're gone (kinda scary). I went back to school this past spring to get my BSN and am in desperate need of a little break. Hubby needs a break too, he's been working so hard and doesn't get much time off at all. We're both super excited to finally be leaving.

We're staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I wanted to try something new, but this resort is sentimental for us. We got engaged on the beach at midnight, and then in a subsequent trip celebrated our honeymoon. On 2 of our 3 trips to Disney together we've gotten extremely sick with influenza. I've been pumping myself full of Airborne in hopes that it doesn't happen again. It's become somewhat of a phobia and nothing I ever want to experience again. Keeping fingers crossed for good health this trip.

I will be getting older on this trip. Mickey was kind enough to schedule an extra magic night for my bday so we'll be partying until 1am if I last that long, and having dinner at my favorite...Artist Point. Wishes and MSEP are also on the agenda. I have goosebumps just thinking about it!

So anyway, today's plan is...leave home at 1:30pm, flight at 4:50pm. Arrive in Orlando around 8:40pm, catch Magical Express to CBR. Hoping for a ground floor room somewhere convenient to something lol. Arriving so late, I'm not expecting too much as far as our preferences go. What will be, will be. Then we'll catch a bus to MK, must ride POTC and HM and anything else that strikes our fancy at the time. Then our first Disney sleep of the trip and we'll be sleeping in late because, hey it's vacation!!

Updates to come if I can manage seeing what I'm doing on my iphone with my aging eyes!

Well, reporting from my iphone didn't work for me. Way too small for me to see. I also had sketchy connection at the hotel (CBR). Day 1 coming soon...
