Default The Surprise...Day 3 Magic Kingdom

So looks can be deceiving, yesterday we thought Epcot would be a bust because it was busy at the entry and today we got to MK and the entry wasn't too bad pretty easy to get in. We went through to the dance party in the street which my DD loved!! When we headed to Adventureland the crowd was out of control, there was a line for Swiss Family Robinson?? Where did all these people come from? All in all our longest wait times were 35 minutes, but I am so spoiled from good planning through Intercot and low season that waiting for rides kills me.

We had our usual Cosmic Rays for lunch which was just ok. If anyone has good suggestions for a lunch spot when for when we head back on Friday I will take it... Headed to Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner. Really good enjoyed my steak, cooked perfectly! Love the chocolate fondue for dessert.

The weather was gorgeous today in the 70's all day. Sunny and beautiful. Tomorrow we head to DHS. DH is really excited about Star Tours! We'll probably ride that a bunch.

Cosmic Rays is our least fave spot. We like Pecos for burgers and toppings bar, Harbour house for great fish and chips and awesome chick nuggets . (I actually love the lighthouse sandwich there myself, hummus and veggies and its delish), and Casey's, with seating right on Main Street USA, can't beat that ambiance, and the chili dogs and fries with cheese are yummy! Enjoy DHS!

Casey's is our favourite in the MK too! I know it is nothing special, but it just seems so perfect ... the atmosphere is good and the cheese sauce for the fries is just too yummy.

Wow - the crowds really caught up with you on this day!

Grand Floridian Cafe is such a gem though we usually breakfast or lunch at this location.

Gosh this sounds like us the last week of Jan. I will never go then again. It was packed in all parks all 7 days.. Food was not good. Well we liked Harbor House only. Usually like Pecos even it was not good. Gave all of us diar. The only table service meal that was even close to good for us was Teppon. Character breakfast were surprisingly almost empty tabled and we did 4 of them.. Crystal, Tusker,Akershus,Oh and Kona was a big let down on that dried Tonga toast and set us back 40.00 for 2 plates and 2 coffees. terrible food now and not much choice.. People packed everytwhere. Frontierland was horrible to even walk thru. DHS was packed more than at Christmas 1st or 2nd week..AK was massed with crowds. I just do not know whats happening but food quality has gone way down, rides are boring same old no refurbs for the better, rude people, long waits.broken rides when we got on.Just not magical. Starring Rolls in DHS is usually good for us.Sci Fi's pasta and shrimp was really good surprisingly as well. Sounds like no good time to go anymore without hoards of people and the food needs some attention really. Its not the free dining plans its they are cutting corners and for sure amounts. Don't feel its too much food anymore, our men were hungry after their counter service meals.. Hate to be gripey but I am betting more of us were very dissed about Disney this past 2 months than are reporting it.

We always think about trying the Plaza and never do. But Columbia Harbour House is also a good bet. You just reminded me of the dance party, and how I wish I was there now! The energy and fun, it sets just the right MK tone. Glad you're enjoying your trip.

I'm waiting to hear how Star Tours went down. We love the changes, but we're prone to motion sickness and the changes made that ten times worse. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to go back. Well, yes, I will. It's too good not to risk it.

Yay, thanks for all the good ideas. I always plan our dinners in advance and leave lunch as a second thought. I'll let you know what we choose on Friday.
