    Default The Surprise...day 2 Epcot

Got up this morning and walked to Port Royal, not too bad of a walk we are on the side of Trinidad South close to the building. I had heard that the walk was kinda long so was worried. Can't believe how busy the busses are at CBR we got on and it was standing room only. It looked busy at the parks when we got there but we got fast passes for Soarin and the longest wait we had for a ride was 20 minutes and that was Maelstom . We had lunch at the cantina in Mexico and my DD got a pearl in Japan. Very exciting for her, she thought that was so cool. My husband bought a Miyazaki book and playing cards in Japan as well. And I finally bought the beret I have coveted in France every time I have gone. My ancestry is French for Pete sake so it's really about time. I do think this may be the trip for mouse ear headband as well... .

Had dinner at Coral Reef, highly enjoyed catch of the day with mushroom and baby scallop risotto. Yum, amazing!! DH got the same thing, and DD enjoyed the Mahi Mahi kids meal.

Crowds not too bad, not like it looked like it might be when we arrived. Thank goodness! I have noticed a marked difference in this trip versus last January when we were here. We are not seeing the large Brazillian tour groups which were taking over the parks so we must have missed that coming a little later. There is the big cheer competition groups but they have not bothered us really. For the most part they have been polite and well behaved. Hope that stays that way.

Tomorrow we are off to Magic Kingdom, and weather should be a little warmer in the 70's. I'll take it!

We were there two wks before you and didn't have the large brazillion groups either. We just saw one actually, and they were staying at the Poly with us, but we only saw them at night and they were quiet. A great day!

Sounds like a fun day at Epcot! You are getting me very excited for our upcoming trip. Our first day is in Epcot, and we're having dinner at Coral Reef! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We haven't eaten there since 2006, and are really looking forward to it!
