Cost increases?
Is it me or are the cost of packages today quite a bit higher than they where in past.

If I recall correctly, it was only a few years ago they ran the commercial for $1500 for a family of 4. Was a mom and dad trying to plan a vacation and they find on the computer a Disney World Vacation. The quote was.. "Yeah, we can afford that!"
I think it's up over $2500 now...

I just got a quote off wdw for CBR first week in Oct. for $4300.00. That was with the dining plan and a preferred room, but withover 4g's for a moderate...WOW!!!!

Wow, that is high. Way back in 2007 we stayed at CSR for 8 nights, had 5 day base tickets, and the dining plan (back when the tip and appitizer were included) for a family of four for only $2200! We did have a discount on the room, so that helped.
That's 5 years ago, so I expect prices to increase, but this is a huge increase. However, I'm sure some sort of discount will come out by then and you'll be able to shave some off that total. At least I hope so!

That is insane! I would NEVER pay that much to stay in a moderate. We just spent a week at WDW in December in Club Level at the Beach Club, and our ENTIRE trip, airfare, park tickets, hotel, food, and misc stuff like airport parking was just about $4500 grand total.
You have to look for discounts. They are out there. I've never paid rack rate, and I never will. The WDW site is the WORST way to get a vacation quote.
Try Magical Journeys. They will help you find the deals.
