    Default Dining Plan?

I did not think that campers were allowed to utilize the Disney Dining Plan but when I was on their website yesterday I was able to add the dining plan to a tent camping reservation. Can those in the know tell me if dining can be added? We are looking at tent camping in Oct of 2013 and I am starting to plan out how much to save for the trip.

Yes, you can add the dining plan, but the campsites aren't included (at least not usually) in any free dining offers.

    Default Camping and dining plan

We are going the first week of May and our reservations are all booked with the DDP....we are camping in a popup camper. We were not able to get free dining, but the savings on camping was a nice benefit!

As stated, you can purchase the DDP, while staying at FW, but for us it kind of defeats the purpose of camping. We always eat breakfast in camp, and usually cook a crock pot meal for supper or have sandwiches, etc. for supper. That saves us a TON of money. We usually only eat one meal a day away from camp.

With the price of gas these days it doesn't seem like we're saving money by hauling our camper 600 miles to Disney but when gas was cheap we thought the savings of just staying in the camper was enough that we would treat ourselves to the DDP while we were there.
