Windy Weather

Going to DL this Thursday as part of a San Diego trip. Yesterday, there was barely a breeze in the forecast for our trip. Today, they are calling for 25 mph winds!

Of course, that may/will probably change between now and Thursday, but if winds are that stiff, how does that effect a day at the park? Any rides closed? Fireworks aren't happening that day regardless so that isn't an issue.

The winds seem to be forecast to be stronger in the morning and taper off throughout the day, down to like 5 mph by night, strange!

The winds have died down today. It was really windy this weekend... Red Flag warnings. Last week when it was windy up in my area, it was not windy at Disneyland. We live in the foothills and catch a lot of wind.

Today no wind at all. Weather in the 70's and sunny. Supposed to get to the 80's this week. Tomorrow maybe AM drizzle and then clearing up.

High winds are common in Southern CA.

The most wind sensitive ride is at DCA, the Golden Zephyr. It shuts down if the winds top 10 mph. The others that may shut down are Jumpin Jellyfish, Silly Symphony Swings, and Mickey's Fun Wheel, all at DCA. I can't think of any rides at Disneyland Park that are affected by winds. Fireworks are frequently cancelled due to wind, but that's not an issue for you.

Thanks all! Seems the weather channel's predicted winds may be a bit high (does the weather channel ever get weather predictions right?) Other weather outlets are calling for milder winds (10-15 mph) or relatively calm winds (5-10 mph). And we aren't planning on doing any of the rides you mentioned, so thinking we should be good.

Seems the Weather Channel has removed the wind from the latest update. Now, 79, sunny and 5 mph winds. Not sure how you go from 25 mph winds to 5 mph winds, but I will take it!
