    Default Premium Campsites

Has anyone stayed on a premium campsite. Just wondering how much better they are. We are going to get one hoping it will be wider and easier to get in.

Have you stayed at FW before? It is my understanding that the CMs assign sites according to the info you give regarding awning sizes, slide locations and sizes, etc. I have heard of folks having difficulties backing in, going to the Outpost and getting another site.

We have not stayed in the premium sites. The two times we've stayed at FW, we had no trouble backing our trailer into the site with a 1 ton dually diesel Ford. That truck's turning radius wasn't the best in the world. (Now have a 3/4 ton diesel Dodge.)

Our parking experiences at FW have been easier than at some of the better, high end campgrounds we've camped at.

My outlaws stayed at the premium sites and had plenty of room for their large 5th wheel. I noticed that many of the camping loops have been referbed to enlarge the pad area. I am not sure if the premium site is that much different than a standard site in size, but you get more with the cable TV, Internet, etc..

We have stayed there a few times and always stayed in the preffered sites. Have had some trouble gettiing in the sites. Had to wait for someone to move their vehicle one year. Just thought it wouldn't hurt to try the premiums since it's just $7 more per night.

Premium sites are longer and wider, they also have the ends of the site wider for ease of backing in, other than that utilities are the same, ie cable, water, sewer, electric. with a premium site you do not have a sand pad at the rear of the site, also have upgraded picnic table.
