Default Where do you like to stay at CSR?

We are in the early planning stages of a trip to CSR in the fall. But I wanted to ask... where do you like to stay when you're at this resort? I don't think that I will be able to convince DH to pay for a "preferred" location.

I've stayed in all three sections, and Cabanas is my favorite. I like the overall look of the section (hammocks, beach, etc.) and it's a short, beautiful walk to both the pool and El Centro.

That said, all three sections are great. I love CSR!

We've stayed in the Casita section, buildings 3 & 4. It wasn't that far to walk to El Centro for breakfast and then hop on the bus. The last bus stop at CSR is the main building and then you're off to the parks.

Casitas is nice, but I have to say that I like Cabanas the best. It's a great location!

Casitas are my favorite. We stayed in the Cabanas on our last trip there. We were pleasantly surprised that the walk wasn't as long as we expected and we enjoyed the Cabanas more than we thought we would. Still, I would have preferred staying in the Casitas section.

Thank you- Right now I am trying to decide between asking for Cabanas or Casitas. I like the look of them both.

We have stayed in both casitas & cabanas and I prefer the cabanas. I felt the cabanas seemed more 'private' and intimate than the casitas. I loved walking out of the cabanas and reading on a hammock and I loved that the laundry was so close to our cabana and we were only a short walk to the main pool. I believe we were in 8a so we were also close to the bridge to El Centro.

We're probably in the minority but we like Ranchos - preferably 7B. It's always been so quiet and peaceful there. It's a short walk to the main pool; a little longer to El Centro but not too long and the walk is beautiful!

We liked the Ranchos 7B too. Short walk to the bus stop and it was very peaceful there. The walk to the ElCentro wasn't bad and was very pretty.

Another vote for Ranchos. I really enjoyed the rustic look and feel of this area.

Having stayed and explored in 1999, I'd say that our Cabanas water view was the best room and view, though I imagine that a Casitas water view might be nice too, if your view is the lake, and not a pool or fountain.

    In order"

    1. Cabanas water view.
    2. Casitas water view.
    3. Casitas, standard view, if you get a higher floor, might get you a glimpse of some WDW landmarks, but I can't say from experience...just guessing.

Us too. We stayed there last October. We were facing the water (water view) and the bus stop was right behind our building! Perfect! Plus, there was a large convention there too which mean the buses were practically empty! We had to stand only 1 ride the entire week!

We’ve stayed in the Cabanas and the Ranchos. We like both but the Ranchos seem to work best for us. CSR is a beautiful resort and we love the landscaping…so we enjoy the walk to get to the main pool and El Centro. But I will say, after a long day/night at the parks it is great to hop off the (Rancho bus stop) bus and be very close to your room.

I was close to bus stop 2 in a casista. It worked great. That is the first pick up. 1 is last up and the buses were very full then.
