Default Sunday 5/22 - What to do?

So, we are heading down to WDW tomorrow. Originally, we were not leaving until Saturday. This means now our first day at the parks will be sunday instead of Monday. My question is what park should we do on Sunday, i.e., which will be the least crowded? Or, should we now use 2 days for universal instead of just one as originally planned? Haven't bought my universal tix yet, but was going to get the one day two parks tix. Now, maybe not. If we keep the extra day for wdw, I was told I can upgrade the four day base to a five day base at any will call station. So, with all this in mind, what to do with my extra day? Thank you!

Well, if you're a Star Wars fan, you could go to DHS. If not, stay FAR away from DHS. DAK or Epcot would be your best bets for lowest crowds. DAK, especially, tends to be a little lower on Sundays.

I would say add the extra day at disney! When we went last year we were planning on doing 2 days at universal but after 1 day i was over that park, but that was before Wizarding World. It seemed alot better when I went 12 years ago i don't know what the difference is but I just feel nothing can live upto disney. I am not even going to Universal this year and don't plan on going anytime in the near furture. Maybe do a day at Seaworld which I heard was pretty fun if you don't do an extra disney day.

I'd go with Disney, but stay AWAY from DHS. It will be massively crowded, and they are expecting to have to close to capacity this weekend.

I'd recommend Animal Kingdom, followed by MK. The problem with Epcot is, since it's close to the studios, a bunch of overflow will end up there, when people realize that DHS is too crowded.

On our last 2 trips we have avoided the Disney parks all together on weekends..went to seaworld on sunday a few weeks ago. and did downtown disney and swimming on saturday. really worked well if you are going for a week or more.

According to a couple websites I look at for parks to avoid/go to they are saying Epcot is the best park to visit on the 22nd. DHS and AK are the 2 to avoid, which means MK is the neutral park.

Thanks for the advice. We have done AK on a Sunday before and it was a nightmare. If you read some of my previous posts you can see I'm not a fan of that park and we won't even be going on this trip.

I never thought of just hanging around downtown Disney, might be an idea. More I think about it though, Mk on Sunday might be best. We always allow two days for mk anyway, and this would mean the extra day for universal would be mid-week and probably less crowds. Dunno, still not sure how were going to do this.

Wish me luck, I work a 8am to 10pm today, then start the long drive from Columbus, oh to WDW. It's about 32 hours with work and then the drive with little to no sleep, but worth it to get the extra day.
