Default Best resort TS for breakfast?

    Hola!
We have some friends who want to meet us for breakfast one morning while we're visiting WDW.

They want to have breakfast at one of the resort table service restaurants, but they don't care which one.

They don't want to have a character meal.

I'm thinking Kona Cafe for Tonga Toast, but is there a better choice?

    Thanks for your input!

You hit the nail on the head. Kona is THE place for an incredible breakfast. Not just the Tonga toast..The macadamia nut pancakes, the sausage, and even the fruit platter is beautiful. Love the pressed pot of coffee too. A must do for a TS breakfast!

I'd definitely go with the GF Cafe.
Great food and we just love walking around the resort for a while after breakfast.

Kona for me! I second the macademia nut pancakes- which languish in obscurity compared to the banana-stuffed french toast.

Kona Cafe is our favorite (with Boma a close second choice). The tonga toast and the Macadamia pancakes are SO good! Wish I could go there for breakfast tomorrow!

If you are proceeding on to the Magic Kingdom, I can see the wisdom of going to Kona Cafe. It is a favorite of mine.

However, if you are going anywhere else, I would go to Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I love this place. I love the setting, but most importantly, I love the food. The quality of the food, from the baked goods, to the hot breakfast items, to the rotisserie baked ham is excellent.

I have tried everything, including a few dishes that seemed a little racy for me...which later turned out to be my favorite dishes! Also, the juice they serve at breakfast is delicious.

A friend of mine, a lover of chocolate croissants said these were the best she had ever had. So fresh. There is also a wide selection of fresh fruit.

So thankful for this restaurant and this resort.

Have to agree. I always chose Kona for breakfast, but decided to try GF Cafe this last trip. Very nice location, no characters, and the menu was fine.

    Smile Thanks for your input!

We went with Kona Cafe, mostly because we're staying at the Poly and it was most convenient for an early ADR!

I'm looking forward to trying the Tonga Toast for the first time!

I much prefer Grand Floridian Cafe to Kona Cafe for breakfast. But obviously, there are differences of opinion on it. Check out menus and see what you think best for your group. And don't forget Kouzzina also serves a wonderful TS breakfast if you're in the Epcot area.

I see you chose Kona, and a good choice if you're staying at the Poly. Enjoy!

Kona. My second choice would be Whispering Canyon.
