Confused- pin code deal vs. general public deal
We got a card in the mail yesterday, with a pin code for a 5-night/5-day package, with free dining. The offer for a value resort was $627 per adult, which if I did my math correctly, figures out to $125 a day.
As I'm reading the card, a commercial pops on the tv for a 6-night/7-day package (with dining, and staying at a Value resort) for $89 per person, per day! What the what?! Why bother sending me the pin code deal if a better one is being offered to everyone? Am I missing something?
ETA: and the dining plan offered with the pin code was the same as well- the quick service plan only

I never pay attention to "per day" averages. For me to judge the two offers, I'd need to price out the trip, get a solid number, and only then divide by the number of nights.
I'd also need to make sure that ALL the details are the same ... same window of available dates, same exact MYW ticket package, same type of room (standard vs. preferred, for example), and so on. The devil is often in the details.

In the commercial, the "assumption" is that the stay is for 2 adults/2 kids during VALUE season (you can see the fine print at the bottom of the screen).
The PIN code offer you received may not fall in value season, or if there are only 2 of you going, that would push the "per night" price higher.
In general, though, "per night" doesn't mean much. TOTAL means a lot more.

I agree with CleveRocks, you definitely need more info. For example, in the $627 per adult, where do kid prices figure into the equation?
One thing to keep in mind is that you can usually book a minimum 3 night stay with these offers. They put 5 - 7 night verbiage out there to encourage longer stays. This may not always be the case but it's been my previous experience.
I've seen neither offer so I can give no hard-and-fast facts, but could the costs of children be in the fine print of the pin offer? That would make more sense. The TV offer sounds like it's including children since you say it's per person.
That's a solid recommendation to use Magical Journeys. I'm fairly certain you can send them any pin code you get after you've booked. If a better public offer arises, they'll hook you up with the best deal.

Thanks guys. I will look more closely at the dates, and see if the difference lies there. As far as children go, they aren't mentioned at all in the pin code deal, except for a line about kids 3-9 needing to order off of the children's menu.
We've used Magical Journeys for our last three trips, and I love them. I've recommended them to at least half a dozen other friends and family that are planning trips this year. But, I'm not even certain if we are going to WDW this year, so I didn't want to ask for a price quote from them yet.
I'll dig a little deeper and see what I can find!

It is never a bother to price out PIN's vs public offers to see if they fit the budget! Contact your agent, she will be happy to help. It is what we do.

We got the same card in the mail.
Unfortunately, it won't work for us. Our card said good for stays until 8/31/11. We're going in mid December, 2011.

Nanc said it all. Her team, Wendy in my case, always compares all options for me. I know I must drive her bananas at times, but she is always there for me and never is too busy to help me out. Any pins I immediately send her and she checks them out. Usually she has already gotten me the best deal available.
