    Default Spring breaks?

We are taking a trip to DW the first full week in April, and I've been able to get ADRs to every restaurant that I wanted, and there seems to be a lot of availability at the hotels. I'm guessing that this is because everyone's spring breaks are more spread out this year, with Easter being so late, so there isn't going to be one huge crush at one week.

I'm curious, when are your kids' spring breaks?
My DH is a private HS teacher, and his spring break is the first full week of April (4-8), which is when we are going. However, the local public schools are taking their break the week of March 7-11.

Here in Kansas City our Spring Break is March 11th - 21st. I was thinking that some of the crowds might be spread out a bit more due to a late Easter. Have a wonderful time!!

I should also have mentioned that several of the schools in our area are also taking a long weekend at Easter. They will be out the Friday before Easter, and some will also be out the Monday after Easter.

I'm looking forward to perhaps lighter crowds than we had expected in early April!

My grandchildren's Spring Break is the same as yours. We will be there arriving 3/11. Hoping that you are right about crowds being spread out but Touring Plans has increased their Park attendance levels upward because Disney is extending their Park hours almost every day. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Have fun!

We basically have two spring breaks. We'll have March 7, 8, and 9 off for Mardi Gras. Then we'll have Good Friday and the entire week after Easter off for our main Spring/Easter break. We are going to WDW during our Mardi Gras break, but I'm wishing we had saved it for Easter week instead. We'll be there from March 3-12 and looking on WDW website there isn't much available as far as rooms and dining go. However, Easter week is still practically wide open. I'm hoping we aren't in for a crazy busy week.

Even just here in our immediate area, Spring Breaks are pretty spread out. DDs break is March 7-11, DH works at a private school whose break is March 21-25, but the public schools in his surrounding area are off March 28-April 1.

Do spring breaks usually occur before the easter holidays? Just i am looking at going next April (2012) about 2 weeks after the easter weekend and wondered what crowd levels would be like at this time.

Most schools in our area have had their Spring Breaks cancelled because they have to make up the days from the blizzard we got last month. They only get Good Friday

Spring Break up here is Mar 18-27th. My Sis and BIL are going to the World then. I thought they would be fighting the crowds, but it may not be so bad this year. They are staying at Universal Nickolodeon though. She didn't want to see my spreadsheet of hours, EMH or restaurants.

Oh well. Best of luck. She'll still have fun.
