Last time I was in EPCOT...
So, I just recently visited WDW and while at EPCOT center I noticed something very interesting. While eating at the Japanese Quick service restaurant, I decided to sit out back next to the pond. While I was sititng there a group of men in business wear (who looked to be many different cultures) walking around with blue prints and looking at different aspects of the countries. After Illuminations, I saw another group of men (different from the first) also walking around looking at different parts of the countries and talking to cast members as if they knew them well. It seemed to me like there were plans being made amongst this group of people. Anybody else think so? New Country? Rides in the countries?
There were lots of suits all over WDW last time I was there, makes me feel like WDW is about to do something real big in every park. Then again, I could be dillusional

I really have no idea what it means. When I was at the Magic Kingdom yesterday, I saw a man in a suit with a huge backpack and he was walking around and studying a map. I made a comment to my brother about it because it just seemed so strange. I'm sure it's nothing, but that doesn't make it any less weird!

No new countries are currently being planned. What you saw was pretty common. It's generally a training period or a review period where they are looking at the need for refurbs or improvements.

If you were to visit a Disney park really often, you'd get used to seeing stuff like that.
I visit Disneyland about once a week, on average. I see "suits" every single time. Every once in awhile (but more lately, with all the work being done at DCA), there are people walking around with Imagineering hardhats, looking at plans, etc.
It's nothing out of the ordinary, really.

I had no idea if it meant anything or not. Lol. I've made 6 total trips to Disney Parks, 1 to DL and 5 to WDW, but am just now getting to the age that I can notice things like that and try to put things together. I was hoping I didn't get excited over nothing. Lol!

We thought it odd 2 weeks ago when we were at Magic Kingdom first thing in the morning there were lots of people dressed up and in suits milling around Fantasyland
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

Yeah, I don't think it to be so weird with all the fantasyland expansion going on, but to see "suits" in the other parks is weird, to me at least. I have never seen that before in any of my past 4 visits. With all these rumors flying around, it'd just seem like they are more "truths" than rumors with all the "suits" flying around the parks with blueprints, ya know?

This is true. I see them often at the various parks.

The most interesting experience I ever had of that was very shortly after Bob Iger took over the helm of Disney. We saw a little cluster of "suits" near Pecos Bill's, scribbling furiously on clipboards and looking serious as a heart attack. The guy in the center of the little throng looked eerily familiar. His name tag said "Robert."

Maybe they were a tour group from Universal Studios doing research. Sort of like retailers price-checking each other.

I know that's meant as a joke, but I would be surprised if that sort of thing doesn't happen.
I'm a dad! My daughter, Eisley, was born on December 17, 2010.

It has to. I wonder how many times Imagineers have ridden Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey?
