Default DH and I want a totally different experience!

Hello! My Husband and I were watching the WDW parade yesterday and decided that we would do three nights in the parks in December 2010. I guess all of Disney's advertising yesterday worked on us! Anyway, we are looking to stay some place completely different. We go every year for the Food and Wine festival, so this will be just a little something extra.

We have stayed through the years mostly at Pop, but have also stayed at WL, Contemporary, Poly, Dolphin, and POR (which I hated). Does anyone have any suggestion of someplace different? We have been thinking about Celebration or maybe one of the original Disney Village hotels.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Considering the short stay, I think you would get more out of your trip staying in a great close-to-parks or onsite location. We did get a nice deal for a one night stay at the Hilton at Downtown Disney, and it was better than we expected, not bad at all. I think I would still prefer getting a great deal at the Swan or Dolphin, or maybe trying Coronado Springs or the AKL. If it was in the budget, I would try Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach Club, or GF.

Did you mean December 2010, or 2011?

I don't have much too add, just confused.

And I hated POR too, although I will reconsider if they add Queen beds.

I didn't see where you had stayed at the Grand Floridian. We stayed there for our 50th anniversary and thought it was wonderful, particularly in December..

If you have a car, the Bohemian Hotel (use to be Celebration Hotel) in Celebration is beautiful and offers top notch service. Beautiful setting, you can walk to all the shops, movies or just around the lake. If you stay there ask for a lake view room.

(You can also purchase shuttle transportation to the parks if required.)
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.
