World of Color - TRON: Legacy Encore Added

"When “World of Color” first debuted in June, we hinted at the possibility of adding new stories and even more special moments to the show.

For the first time this past weekend, a specially-designed encore performance was added to the nighttime water spectacular, “World of Color,” at Disney California Adventure park.

Once again, “World of Color” takes Disney storytelling to new heights as the exciting world of “TRON: Legacy” is brought to life with a breathtaking combination of sky-high fountains, film projections, piercing lasers and pulsating light.

The “World of Color TRON: Legacy Encore” celebrates the mysterious cyber realm and the bold adventure of “TRON: Legacy,” Disney’s newest 3D film, which will be released Dec. 17. While The Grid has already come alive for guests during ElecTRONica in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot, The Grid roars to life in a new way at “World of Color” with light cycles, digital thunderstorms, cyber world gladiators, and the ominous soundtrack from “TRON: Legacy.”

There are also new surprises and creative effects that are projected onto the circular loop of California Screamin’. A completely new laser system has also been added to transform the coaster during the encore."

I heard about this. Sounds cool! I still haven't seen WOC. We're going at the end of Dec., so I will FINALLY get my chance. Will probably have a holiday addition by then, from what I've heard.

I've only seen the regular WOC show. I've seen the TRON addition online shot from a couple of angles. It looks pretty good from what you can see through a camera. I like that they've added much more lighting effects to the attractions in the background. At some point I hope to get over and see it in person.

We saw this (along with our 1st WoC experience) just before Christmas this year (in a brief evening when it wasn't raining... did you know WoC can be shut down be too much rain? Sigh...). Loved WoC, and the TRON epilog was fantastic... the way it expands the WoC onto the backdrop of CS really opens things up even more. Way to promote a movie!

We saw this a couple of weeks ago and I think the Tron encore adds alot to the show. We saw WoC prior to the addition and thought it was terrific, but with the added Tron segment, it is fantastic and well worth the wait/crowd.

I am not even a fan of Tron, but this finale was the BEST part of WOC. It was amazing! Hope to see lots more additons to WoC utilizing these new elements.
