Default Annual Passport for WDW AND Disneyland, CA??

I live in California and am planning a trip to WDW (my first!) for April. When I was making AR's, the nice lady told me I can get an Annual Passport that's good for all the parks in Florida and the parks in California. I've never heard of this - does anyone know if this is true?

I might need to drive up to Disneyland to check it out, but thought I'd ask on here first. She thought it was about $700 for a premium pass. That would be great if it really exists!

    Thanks!

Yes, it's true. They introduced it about 6 months ago.

Yep, that's what we are doing. We are going Disneyland in November, WDW in January - back to Disneyland in May for F&W festival. So after running the numbers a variety of ways, we have decided that the Premier Pass will work best for us - it's just the initial outlay of $1400. at once for the passes.

    Shari,

Do you have to go to the park to get the passes, or can I get them online?

    This is so cool! Thanks!!

You're welcome. It's what comes up when you go to try to buy APs through disneyland.com. It lists this pass as an option, but there is NOT an option to "add to cart", and this explanation is listed instead.

I have a question for anyone who is a Premier Pass Holder.

I am aware that it is for all parks and water parks, but does it get me the same discounts as my premium Disneyland Passport?

Considering upgrading to this passport. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it does. A guy in front of me was using one at Pinocchio's Village Haus to get the 15% AP discount there. The CM had never seen one before, but she just scanned it and it worked.

Yes, it does get you the same discounts. In addition your parking is also covered as with the Premium passport. We went last Saturday to Disneyland (4/16) and upgraded the annual passes we had purchased in Disney World and converted to the Premier Passes.

In order to spread out the cost, when we were in Florida we purchased the annual passes with the knowledge that we would then convert to the Premier at Disneyland. Because we are DVC members our intial outlay was $900 for the WDW passes. At Disneyland, we paid the difference of approx $500 and were upgraded to the Premier. It did take some time, as the CM had to have a supervisor call Florida to verify what we had paid for the passes in Florida.

Based on our calculations for this year, this was the way for us to go as we went to Florida in January and are going back in December. We will also have two stays at Grand Califonian at Disneyland this year. In addition we live about an hour from Disneyland so we can pop over whenever we want without additional charge.
