    Default Parking at Cabins

I'm considering staying at the cabins, but I have no idea how that works. Is there parking for my car? Is it far from the bus stop? How far are the cabins from the trading posts? Also, one of the biggest questions I have, how CLEAN is it? How does it compare to the Wilderness Lodge? That's where I usually stay and love, but a cabin would be cheaper for the night I'm going. Thanks for any info!

We have stayed in the cabins, and loved it!! There is parking for one car at the cabin, and the internal bus system can take you to any point within Ft. Wilderness. The bus stop distance will depend on where in the loop your cabin is, and if your loop shares a bus stop with another. We tend to rent a golf cart, so never worry about that aspect. The cabins are very clean, and you get the same mousekeeping as any other resort room at Disney. They even do the dishes for you!! The cabins really are nice, and we love the full kitchen! Hope you give them a try, and enjoy them as much as we have

Well now that I know we can park there, I'm convinced! Thank you!

We stayed in a Cabin for 2 days last year. We had always wanted to try it out but had some concerns so we gave it a shot; just not for the entire trip. We loved the cabins! Very spacious and clean. We would stay inside them again in a heartbeat. We were lucky as our cabin was extremely close to the road and the bus stop was right there. But if you were in a cabin toward the back of the loop and the bus stop wasn't right at your loop, it could be a few minutes walk.

But we'll have a car and a probably a golf cart, so we won't have a walk, right? Isn't there a place to park golf carts by the front bus stop (To the parks)?

We love the cabins too! There is golf cart parking throughout Ft. Wilderness, including by the front parking lot, Settlement, Trading Posts, pools, etc. Renting a golf cart is awesome....it's so nice having your own transportation throughout the campground.

We too are trying the cabins for the first time this year. I am very much looking forward to it! We have four kids (ages 9,7,2 and1) and DH has said we are going to get a golf cart. Have a great trip, hope you enjoy it!

I've been to Ft. Wilderness a dozen times, but this will be my first time in a cabin. I'm a little nervous because I can't exactly picture how everything will work out, but I'm so excited!

    Default Golf Cart

You are going to LOVE having a golf cart. The first two times we stayed in the cabins, we used the Disney buses to get around. We rented a golf cart the last two times, and we have no idea how we ever got around without it. It is awesome, and we are definitely spoiled now. It's so nice being able to get to the Settlement (or anywhere, for that matter) in a few minutes, instead of having to walk to the bus stop, wait for a bus to come, and then wait for your bus stop to come around. I love having the golf cart now....it makes it a whole different trip!

The cabins are so nice too! The murphy bed is surprisingly comfortable. Being able to park your car right in front of your "hotel" room is so convenient. You will have a lot of fun!

    Thanks!!!

Usually, we visit family at the campgrounds and rent a golf cart for the day, and then go to our resort at night. We're not campers. We are only able to stay one night, but the cabins sound so nice and even though we won't really be there except to sleep, the golf cart will be fun anyways.
