What is the best way to get to the Boardwalk from the Contemporary? Can we take the monorail to EPCOT and walk to the Boardwalk without going through EPCOT? Is there a bus?

There isn't a bus directly from the Contemporary to Boardwalk. You can go to the TTC and take a bus from there to Boardwalk OR you can walk to MK and take a bus from there to Boardwalk OR you can take the monorail to the TTC/switch to the Epcot monorail and then take a bus from there to Boardwalk. You would have to walk through Epcot to the International Walkway to walk to Boardwalk from Epcot.
I LOVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!! A dream is a wish your heart makes and mine came true when I retired here in December 2014! I go to a park at least once a week!
Thanks! I think walking to the MK and taking the bus to the Boardwalk would be the easiest way to get there.
I agree. I think that is your best bet.
However, I will offer you one other "Plan B" option. You can take a bus from CR to DHS, then take a short boat ride (or 15-minute walk) from DHS to Boardwalk. The Boardwalk resort is closest to DHS, and it's really not a bad walk from the Studios.
I don't believe there is a bus from the Ticket & Transportation Center to Boardwalk and there is no bus from Epcot to Boardwalk.
You can take a bus to Boardwalk from the Magic Kingdom. You can also take a bus from the Contemporary to Disney Studios and take either a bus or the boat from there. You could even walk from Disney Studios. Plus, you don't need to enter the park to transfer.
If you have a park hopper and have already been in a park the day you're going to Boardwalk, you can take the monorail system to Epcot, walk through Epcot and out the International Gate. From there, you can walk or take the boat to Boardwalk.
You can also take a bus to Downtown Disney and transfer there to Boardwalk.
Another option is to take a cab.

I would take a bus from contempoaray to the studios and walk to the boardwalk. Thats what we usually do. The buses drop you off right next to the walkway path. Or you could take a boat from the studios to boardwalk but the walking is much quicker

Either of these two would be fine. I've had some long waits for the boats though, so you might want to do the walk/bus.
