Default What kind of deals are offered on Land/sea combos?

We are thinking about planning a land/sea trip for the end of September 2010. We have a three week break from school at this time, so we've always used this as our Disney vacaction time. And, we've always gotten a great deal - lately free dining. So, for those of you experience Disney cruisers, does the cruise line typically offer good deals at that time as well? If not, would you be able to get whatever WDW promo is being offered on the land portion of the trip? Or would you need to book it as two separate trips in order to take advantage of deals? Thanks!

We just returned from a 5 night WDW trip following a 3 night Disney cruise. We booked separately. Last February, we sailed on a 7 night Disney cruise. The last night there, a card was placed in our state room that offered us a 3 night Bahama cruise in the Fall for only $99 per person (for the entire cruise - a real deal) with booking beginning on April 8th (we booked right away). Since we are an 11 hour drive away, we decided to book 5 days before to play at the World. We first were offered a pin with a 40% off value resorts during the time we went. Then later this summer we received a free dining pin. Since we had to pick, we chose the free dining since it was a better deal.

Not sure if they offer land/sea package deals as we did not go that route. I am sure other Intercotee's can help advise you on this one.

Technically, they no longer offer the 4-3 land/sea packages. You can "add on" a hotel stay for your desired number of days before or after your cruise through DCL along with park tickets and the dining plan, but you are probably better off looking at it as 2 separate bookings. DCL offers everyone the choice of going to WDW or the airport after the cruise, so transportation is not a problem if you book the resort on your own. You just need to let them know your destination if you are booking transfers with them.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I need to look for separate deals.
