At Fort Wilderness Right Now...

Hi! Just wanted to share my joy! I'm sitting at my cabin at Fort Wilderness right now (Nov 18) and it is like a ghost town here! On my loop (2600 - Mocassin Trail), there is NO ONE! I think on the entire loop, only about 8-10 cabins are occupied. We were walking around Pioneer Hall today and it was a ghost town. SERIOUSLY! We went for a yummy dinner at the Trails End, and same thing. I figured it'd be busy there for sure, but the restaurant was more empty than full. I LOVE IT!! I've found my new favorite time of year to travel here!! Tee hee!! Not to mention we've seen 3 deer, have an armadillo that's been roaming around our cabin, and there's a black cat always walking around. And no word of a lie, it is SO QUIET here, that we could HEAR the music from Illuminations while sitting on our deck. I've never heard the music this far away before. I could seriously sing along with "We'll go on"! INSANE!!! Anyways, thought I'd share!!

I hope the crowds stay low. We leave for the airport in less than an hour. We will be checking in on Friday.

We just got back and it was weird to see the crowd level change in a day. Sat and Sun no one was in the parks! No lines no waiting! Then Monday Boom! People showed up! And Epcot yesterday was swamped by the time we left (around 2pm) the wait time at Spaceship Earth (which we usually jump on last before coming home) was 45 mins! So we had two days of peace and 2 days of crowds. And today in Tampa it hasn't stopped raining so I think we left at a good time!
