transportation...other than the bus?

We are coming back to FW in Oct. We love taking the boat to MK, and we even take the boat to MK, board monorail to Epcot. Do any of you know ways to get to DTD and AK that would by pass busses? I've looked at boat to monorail and monorail to other places, but couldn't really find a route. (we're not against the busses... we just LOVE trying new ways to get places).

DTD has boat service from POFQ and PORS as well as Old Key West resorts, only other option is bus. AK - I think it is bus only...

You would have to drive or take a Taxi to AK or DTD.

If time is what your looking to save. Yes boat to the Magic Kingdom is always best. Drive your car for everything else. You will save half the drive minimum plus you wont have to wait at either end for the bus to arrive.

oh...no... we're not looking to save time at all. We like the experience of getting to the parks as much as the parks themselves. We don't mind stopping at multiple places to make the traveling there fun. We love to boat over to MK, board the monorail there and take it to Epcot... probably takes more time than the bus, but it's more fun. We had thought about getting to POR resort just to boat over to DTD... but didn't know if it would be worth that. We don't have a car with and wouldn't drive it if we did. We love taking the Disney trans... just wondered if there were other ways to get to DTD or AK other than the bus.... it didn't matter the number of stops or transfers... but looks like bus would be it.

we do the same thing we walk through epcot to get to HS by boat from beach club and we used our car to get to downtown disney. We were at por and never used the boat though. Just didn't get around to it. We hate busses though and will do just about anything to avoid them. Even pay the $15 cab fare. lol.
