Amount to tip Mousekeeping?

I was just curious as to what others leave for a tip each day for Mousekeeping? My DD and I decorated envelopes to leave each day for mouskeeping, and we are going to put the tip money in in advance. What is the going rate that you leave? Do you leave the same amount each day? Thanks so much!

We leave 1 dollar per day per person in our room

This year I'll have a room to myself so I'll leave $2-$3 per day.

We always leave the same each day...and last time we had two adults and a toddler and left $5 a day...that seems to be our standard (easier than trying to get dollar bills together).

We leave a tip each day, and also follow the $1 per person, per night rule. We also do the little envelopes in advance so all I have to do is throw one on the bed before we head out the the parks each morning.

We haev always gotten wonderful service and many surprises.
I also like teaching my children to be appreciative for the job they do and this is as small way to thank them.
My kids have such decorating the envelopes before each trip for the tips.

We tip $5 per day and we leave it under the mousekeeping card on the table in the room, making sure there is nothing else around it to confuse them. We do it daily because you never know if the same crew is working the room each day of your stay. (That reminds me, I'm going to have to stock up on the fivers soon!!! )

I usually do some each day to make sure the Mousekeeper servicing me gets the tip. I would hate to have someone do a wonderful a job only to be off the day I leave the tip.

We do the $1 per person per day. If you leave the tip at the end of your stay there might be someone new cleaning your room!

is it safe to just date all 12 envelopes and then leave them on the end table or would it be too trusting of us?

I have always up till now left a tip. Never recieved any form of a surprise, in a good way that is. This last visit to AKL, I was totally surprised that they were happy to take my tip, but did absoultely nothing to the room except make the bed. The coffee pott was still full of coffee grounds and the trash was still full.
With all that being said you must know, I leave my rooms practically cleaned any way. So really all that was needed was to empty my trash and the coffee pot.
Mousekeeping just keeps letting me down more and more every year.
So I would only tip $1.00 per person per day. Becuase unfortunately we are leaving a tip before the job is performed. It is like giving your child and advance on their allowance. Now they wont work as hard or do as well of a job as they could.

We usually do the $1 per person, except this time there will be only two of us so we might leave a little more (especially if we get sweet Indiana at Pop - she ruled!)

I have GOT to remember to do the envelopes this year - I keep forgetting and the poor Mousekeepers have to endure my sad looking little Mickey head drawing on a sheet of note paper...bless them...
