Default Ideas to make mom's trip xtra special

    I need your ideas.
DH, DS (2) and I are going to DL in Aug. My mom would love to go with us (however, she has to wait until sometime next week, to see if her schedule will permit that). I sure hope she will be able to go. She is going through a tough divorce, and the stress/hostility/fear, she has experienced lately, has taken its toll. A break from reality, would be great for her! Is there anything you can think of that I could do, that would be a fun surprise for her? I've thought about taking her to Blue Bayou for dinner, after DS and DH go back to the room for bed. Anything with some extra would be good for her.

I'm not sure what your budget is liked but the Napa Rosa at the Grand Californian is a very nice restaurant. There is also a Spa at that hotel that you could book something for her.

I believe that DL has some kind of dessert viewing of Fantasmic, but I'm not 100% on that.

The Fantasmic! Dessert priority seating thing would be great ... how about a nice dinner for the 2 of you at one of the medium priced locations ... like Hook's Point at the DLH (then take the Monorail over for Fantasmic!) or inside the park at the French Market Restaurant which is right in New Orleans Square (I love the food there and you get the ambiance of people watching) and then you have a leisurely walk to see Fantasmic!

Otherwise there's nice restaurants in DTD (Ralp Brennan's would be a great choice!).

You can find an updated list of restaurants in our Resort Guide.

Take her to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and you both get your hair done and all glittered up! My sister and I did this once and we had a blast at the park all day with our crazy hair and make up. It was a memory we'll never forget.

I also like the Fantasmic! dessert idea. I've done this a few times and it's always worth it. The food is delish and the view is the best.

Buy her a princess autograph book and make it a game to find as many princesses as you can all day and get a picture with them. You'll be so focused on finding princesses that she'll forget that frog she's divorcing (at least for the day!). Oh, if the frog is your father, no offense.

I try to think of other ideas for you.

LOLOLOLOL. No offense taken...he is a frog!

Thanks for the great ideas. I hadn't thought any of those yet.
