    Default Castaway Club

When will I receive my Castaway Club documents and lanyard? I have not received anything in the mail and I took my 1st cruise during early April. It was great and I'm ready to plan another! Thanks!

We went on our first cruise early May last year and received our Castaway Club cards at the end of June. We did not receive lanyards. Not sure, but I think those will be given at check in on the second cruise.

It took forever for them to send us our castaway card and when they did, it was addressed to our daughter. We didn't have it for our second booking, but I had called and they simply gave me the number over the phone. Our gift was waiting for us in the stateroom. It's really not that big of a deal, they have you entered into the system.

Same deal - - it took forever, and only got the cards after about three phone calls. And when they arrived, my card had my son's name on it.

No biggie. As Tammi said, they've got you in the system, and future ressies will automatically pick up on the fact that you're members. We didn't get the lanyards and other goodies until we arrived for our second cruise, and it was all in the stateroom when we arrived.

And there was I thinking it was just us. As non US folks, we get a raw deal on a few things and I assumed that this one one of them.

But when our cruise planning studd came through I noticed that we could book early for excursions.

Rang them up & got our number. All set now for August cruise.

When we checked in for our second cruise in '06 each of us were given a lanyard and two Castaway Cay pins ... one to keep and one to trade by the CM in the terminal.

When we got to our stateroom Castaway Cay gifts, which included a beachbag, among other things, were waiting for each of us.

We have never received an offical Castaway Cay card. We have our Castaway Cay profiles set up on the Disney Cruise Line website and the number is referenced there.

    Thumbs down

We cruised last October and have received nothing. We had to call to get our numbers for when we booked our fall cruise.

I know it's fun to finally get that little card, but technically, you don't need the number. You're entered into the system and once your account is pulled up, you'll automatically receive all the benefits of Castaway Club members (ie. earlier booking for Palo, excursions, etc. & the club gift).

You would need the number to get into the Castaway Club section of the DCL site.

I got it just so that I can make sure that it's on my documents.

Just so everyone knows I double checked with a friend of mine that works for DCL and they no longer send out Castaway Club Cards with your number on it. If you need your number simply email them thru the DCL website or call them at 1-800-370-0097 to get your number.

You can get your number by calling or emailing them. You also get a welcome packet with a CD with the beloved horn on it, among other stuff that tells you the perks. You do get priority booking on excursions and other offerings like Palo over first time cruisers, so if that is something that is big for you, just call or write to them, they are more than happy to help you.

You get a lanyard upon checkin and your KTTWC is is a different design. There is a special line just for CC members, that tends to move faster (unless there's no one in the regular line, which happens). There is a stateroom gift in your room that changes every so often, but it usually has a bag that can be used for the beach or at home. We now have two of the big black ones, and they are really heavy duty! There is also a celebration on board that offers drinks, games, and an "inside look" at the future of DCL. Its fun to meet other DCL-philes, if that's your thing.

Question How long is it good for?

How long is the Castaway Club good for? We haven't cruised since 99 and we are want to take our children now. Is our Castaway club number expire? Does anyone know?

Castaway membership lifetime,, we have been members since 1998. Cruiseline cast members always laugh when we give them our number because it is so low..

Castaway Club never expires. When you make a reservation, DCL's computer should automatically pop the information up, but you might want to confirm with them.

Experiment626 posted earlier that a friend (DCL employee) verified they were no longer sending out membership cards or welcome packets. You can call or e-mail to get your number.
