Campfire ?

Where do they have the campfire/movies? Can anyone who is staying on property go?

The campfire/sing along with Chip and Dale/movie is at Fort Wilderness and, yes, anyone can go.

The campfire sing-along movie theatre is near the meadows pool, right near the center of FW.

Get on the orange loop bus and get off at the 900-1000 loop. It's behind the trading post / pool area.

We've been enjoying the campfire/sing-a-long/movie since 1984!

I really can't say enough about what a great program this is. How often do you get to watch a movie out under the stars anymore? It's a very relaxing and fun way to spend an evening. And yes...it's FREE!!!! You can buy hot dogs or marshmallows there to roast or you can bring your own.

One word of advice though...I'd suggest taking some bug spray along. It is in the woods after all! But if you forget anything, the Meadows Trading Post is just a short walk over the bridge!

My favorite free thing to do. I love that not many people know about it. I think I have told over 50 people about it and recently when we went, the advice came back to me from a friend of a friend of a friend who didn't know that I was the one who told the original person about it.

On a side note, they also do Beach Front Movies at Yacht and Beach Club across from the Boardwalk. Also fun and also free.

I have also seen the blow up screen at the Comtemporary pool and my son said they watched on the beach by the Grand Floridian. A great idea is spreading over the World it sounds like.

Wow!! Good to hear about the Beach Club movies -- we planned to go to the Ft Wilderness ones in Sept but now want to change our plans. Has anyone been to them? Which would you choose. Also, do they happen every night?
