Vegetarian offerings at Ohana?

On our upcoming trip to the world in August we will be dining with a vegetarian. We absolutely love Ohana and are wondering what they offer for those who do not eat meat? Thanks!

I can not comment on the vegetarian menu, but we requested gluten-free for my daughter and they went way above and beyond. It would probably be helpful to note that on your reservation. They made special meals and a special dessert for her. Hope this helps.

Vegetarian here!

Actually, they will make a special meal for a vegetarian, I'm happy to say. Official policy is 24 hours notice, so it's probably a good idea to call ahead. There are no published numbers for individual restaurants, but WDW-DINE will connect you to the kitchen at 'Ohana so you can call and tell them.

I know that is preferred, but I've also done "on-the-spot" before (not at 'Ohana), and every Disney restaurant has been wonderfully accommodating.

Just so you know, I believe the veggie dish at 'Ohana is a vegetable stir fry with noodles (at least, it was in 2007).

We ate at Ohanas Septmeber 2008. I am a vegetarian. We asked the server what could be offered and he actually had the chef come out and talk with me about what I would like (he was very familiar with vegan restrictions and asked for specifics of what I would eat etc). He prepared the most delicious meal!! It was so good and looked like a masterpiece! Then, he also prepared a dessert that was vegan-acceptable (although I am not a vegan...I just don't eat any meat or seafood etc.). Must say, I ate well and this was one of the best meals I ate on our trip. We will definitely go again this year! The meal was vegetables and tofu (which I am not usually a big fan of tofu...but that was sooooo!!) I can't really describe how it was prepared because it was unique. Very, very good!

Anyways, I highly recommend this for vegetarians! They were so accomodating!!!

Also a vegetarian...while I've never dined at Ohana, I can verify that the restaurants do a great job of trying to accommodate. I have also had a couple of chefs go out of their way to speak with me and make me delicious meals. I agree about asking them to make a note on your reservation. Have fun!
