Back Trail Adventure, Segway Tour

Has anyone done this? Was it an enjoyable couple hours? Tell me eveything! Thinking of surprising DH for his 40th b-day trip in Sept.

I surprised DW and DS with the Segway tour this past Christmas Day! THEY LOVED IT! I was too much on the portly side to go.

Neither of them had ever ridden a Segway. My son is very athletic and takes to learning how to do most challenging things like this quickly. DW is just the opposite. However she was able to learn how to handle the Segway in no time and was just as expert as DS by the time the training portion was over. I also want you to know that the CMs who did the training and led the tour are AWESOME. They were very patient with everyone no matter what skill level the diverse group showed. The tour itself was very interesting according to them. It was a beautiful warm sunny day. They rode the Segways way back into nature trails near Bay Lake and over toward Wilderness Lodge. DS had my camera and was having such a good time he only got a couple of pictures.

My son turns 16 in early August. He has been dying to try this. Our last trip in 2006 my DH and I took the Segway tour in Epcot and loved it. My son wants to try the Wilderness one. I am sure it will be great based on our last experience.

Does anyone know if they still give out pins at the end. We got one last time but I thought I read somewhere they no longer do this?

Great to hear. I had called the tour line and CM had no idea if one was given or not. The one my DH and I got from the Epcot tour has a Segway that moves along the pin. We really like it.
