Interpark is reporting:
The Walt Disney Company has announced it will eliminate approximately 1,900 jobs at its domestic theme parks.
The bulk of the cuts occurred at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where about 1,400 members of staff will lose their jobs.
About 300 jobs will be cut from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, with the remainder coming from corporate headquarters in Burbank.
Disney spokeswoman Tasia Filippatos said: "These decisions were not made lightly, but are essential to maintaining our leadership in family tourism and reflect today's economic realities. We continue to work through our reorganisation and manage our business based on demand."
