Default Last Minute/Birthday Celebration Pre-Trip Report

So the 4/3 deal was too good to pass up. We booked less than a month ago and since the prices were so good we decided to abandon our usual Value Resort's and upgraded to a Moderate. We're very excited to stay at Port Orleans Riverside.

My plan is to use twitter to perform live trip report updates so if anyone wants to follow me and are on twitter go there and my handle is, of course, Ruprect. Feel free to @ me any questions about what's going on down there, how anything looks, etc...

    The cast:
    Me
    DW
DD - 5 years old and loves princesses
    DS3 - Our 3 year old (almost 4)
DS1 - 1 year old. Will become DS2 during the trip

    The plan:
We're driving this time. This'll be my first drive to Disney since I was in High School so it should be interesting being in the front seat.
1/22 - Depart at around 3pm stop in NC
1/23 - Swim at hotel and then finish drive
1/24 - Check in at POR
    1/25 - DS1 birthday
1/31 - Check out and begin drive back
2/1 - Get home in time to watch Pittsburgh lose in the Super Bowl

We have a daily schedule mapped out but plan on playing it more by ear this time. Relax and let the kids run and play and enjoy being away from the subfreezing temps in Cleveland. The weather forecast is looking good (Thanks STRMCHSR) so we hope to get some swimming in too.

Hope to see you on Twitter. Otherwise I'll be posting Trip Reports after I get back.

I sure hope your hotel in NC has an INDOOR swimming pool because we just had a big ole snowstorm across the whole state (dumped about 5 inches of snow which is alot for us) and it is still in the thirties today!

Trip sounds great....I hope you have fun! Drive safely!

Yes that was the criteria for the hotel on the way down. I really need to specify the indoor part of swimming more because every time I explain the itinerary to someone and mention swimming I have to then clarify the indoor portion.

Sounds fantastic, and I agree, with traveling with three little ones, its best to play things by ear. Have a great trip!
