This should work if I can explain it correctly.
1. Hold down the following key (ALT) while pressing the numbers 0176
2. Type a capital letter O or lowercase o
3. Hold down the following key (ALT) while pressing the numbers 0176

This should produce the following result °O° or °o°

You have to use the number keys that are on the far right side of your keyboard (with the number-lock turned on) when using this shortcut.

You cannot use the number keys that are directly above the letters on your keyboard, it just won't work.

This assumes you are using a desktop computer. If you are using a laptop, you have to figure out how to use the "number keypad" part of your laptop's keyboard, which is not very easy to do.
