Default Grad. Nights?? How do these affect crowds and

what exactly are they? Are the parks open later for grads or something?? I'm looking at the April unofficial calender and it says that one of the Saturdays we are there is "Grad Night" at DHS...but it ALSO says that DHS is the best park for that day. This seems contradictory to me unless I'm missing something??

    Thanks for any help.

Grad Night is an after-hours event exclusively for high school seniors. They pay a separate admission to get in there and the park will only be open to them.

Since it is after hours, it will not affect the day guests all that much because the park will hard-close (this includes merchandise stores - they will not stay open the extra hour) at whatever time and the grads will come in 1-2 hours later.

Nope. The park will close before it gets that dark.

Just curious. Is this just for FL grads? If an out of state guest would like to attend, what would be required. Also, can Grads family come along?

It's for any grads but it's booked through the schools, who pay for the trip, and the tickets, and air/bus /hotel if necessary. It's usually part of a school trip, so really no family can come unless they are a chaperone for the school.

Last year we had an experience during grad night. I wouldn't liken it to "awful," but it was at least a small annoyance.

It was our last night of our honeymoon. We had dinner at Artist Point and Grad Night was at MK at 7 p.m. We got done with dinner around 9 p.m. With all the crowds for the event, the buses took forever to make it through a monstrous traffic jam around the MK resort area. We waited to nearly 10 p.m. for a bus and then were re-routed to DTD to transfer. I think we managed to run to a bus for CBR that was just about to leave.

But be aware of the huge crowds that will be there. We noticed a lot of seniors there (and also band trips for Music Days) during the week in April we went.
