Water Parks in December for small kids...
Hi everyone! I will be traveling to WDW in December '08 and my kids will be 4 yrs. and 1 yr. old. I know that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed in Dec. I also know that all Disney pools are heated. But, is it really worth paying for the "Water Parks and more" option for the family given the kids ages, the season we will travel, and the fact it will only be for Blizzard Beach (my favorite one). How low does the temp. go in FL? I'm afraid they'll get sick when getting out of the heated water.

Water Parks
If I were you, I wouldn't pay extra for "WaterParks and more" at this time of year. December can have any weather (hot and sunny for swimming or cold, rainy, etc.); our motto in December is to "layer-up" since each day will bring a wide range of temps!
As for swimming, the pool at the POR will probably be much more convenient with little ones. Plus, once they're out of the water (and starting to shiver), your room -and a hot bath- are right nearby.
Enjoy your trip!

I would not buy it either.
I have been in December a couple of times.
There are days that are nice enough to swim, and days I wore a hat and mittens! All in the same week.
With kids that young, I would stick to the resort pool when it is warm enough to swim. I think they will have more than enough fun there- no need for the Water Parks.

We typically take our trips in December and on a normal December trip it is too cool on most days to pay for the water parks and more option. However... Last Dec temps were in the upper 80's to low 90's and it was HOT!!! We wished we had a ticket for the water parks. That being said... I probably still would not pay extra for it. Odds are it will be too cool. Last year was the only year in 5 years we weren't wearing gloves and hats to keep our body temp up.

I wouldn't suggest buying the waterpark option either...kids that age tend to get cold rather easily and likely wouldn't want to stay long unless it was much warmer than usual.
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow

Yep! You can add the feature at your resort concierge desk. We added the Water Park & Fun feature on one of our trips. The CMs at POR at really nice and helpful.
