Question Whats in the big Pineapple in DTD?

I have been to DTD every time we've been, but I have never actually gotten down to where the Virgin Records shop is. I have seen a huge buliding in all the pictures of DTD. Has anyone ever been there? Is it a resturant, shop, or anything else? Someone help. I need to know what the big pineapple is!

I don't think it's a very popular restaurant because I don't know anyone who has ever gone there and have never seen anyone on intercot write about it.

I was going to say the same thing. In fact, we haven't been to WDW in 2 years and I wasn't sure it was still open. Is it?

I think it's still opened but all the times that we have been in the area of that restaurant I have never even seen anyone going in.

    Default I was eager..

I really wanted to try it! I think I still will if time permits. I will write a review after I'm back mid August. I'm curious about Cuban food and I've been by and enjoyed the music playing outside. I'll let you know..

I have not been inside, but they have a walk-up window with some very tasty and reasonably-priced snacks.

A Cuban friend said the food is just OK, but not very authentic. He recommends the Columbia Restaurant in downtown Celebration.

We've done the walk up window after a Cirque show and it was good. I wouldn't mind going inside one day to give it a try.

A few years ago we went inside for lunch. The place is awesome inside, kind of like Ricky Ricardos nightclub from I love Lucy.We had Cuban Sandwiches and they were great.I'd go back again in a minute. At night it turns into a Cuban nightclub with music and dancing.

A friend of mine lives in Orlando and she loves that restaurant. I've never been there myself though.

Bongo's is very good..... My DH loves it, and has to make a trip there for dinner every time we're @ WDW. And

    The atmosphere is great too.

Uh-oh! Can't let DH know this or we'll have to find time to squeeze in a trip.

We went to Bongo's on our last trip for lunch and it was WONDERFUL. No heavy crowds, fun atmosphere, and great food! And if you want a decent Mojito, this is THE place for it. We are going back on our trip this year.

We went to Bongo's in March to celebrate a birthday. Don't think it would be on our
must-do list but we all thought the food was pretty
tasty and a nice change of pace.
    Decor is cool,too.

I've never considered it but it sounds like a beautiful restaurant and after checking out the menu, I'm definitely going to eat there next time I'm at WDW.
