Update from the developers
12:01 AM pacific time, Monday, June 2nd

Information we have indicates that the section of the Houston data center on which we rely for services will be functional in the next few hours.

Here is the information about the status of the data center:

"Following the restoration of power to the second floor of the data center, we've cooled the data center floor and are now in the process of systematically restoring power to racks."

"We've got a full staff in the data center to power up racks in sections and verify that the server hardware starts up successfully. This process may take a few hours to restore service to all customer servers on the second floor."

Based on this information we plan to be back in service at our regular time, 7:00 AM pacific time, a few short hours from now!

I actually have graduation today so I have to be up early for rehearsal anyway, but I can't sleep and I have to be up in a half hour anyway so I figure I should do something constructive.

VFK is back on line. Now I know why I couldn't have Genie. Some girl in there has my name.

Yes the game is back open and they have added a few things.

They added the feature to send and receive messages from friends however it wasn't working for me earlier.

There are also 2 new rooms there is a General Store and another room both are located in the old west land.

refresh a few times and you should be able to get in. I think it took me like tent tries.

I'm already on Summer break. Sitting here, bored out of my mind. So bored, I'm watching "hot topics" on The View. I miss VMK!

How do you play this Virtual Family Kingdom game? I could've sworn I signed up for the beta test and made it just before it filled up a while back ago, but now I have no idea how to play and I don't think I got an email from them. So the other day I signed up and I'm on another waiting list. I'm not looking into getting into another online game at this point, just something to pass the time so I don't spend my days like soccer moms at home watching The View, Martha Stuart, Oprah....

There were no emails from them. You had to go to the new site and register using the same information you pre-registered with. After doing that second registration, you should be able to log in.

Your watching the View? You really are bored. I find them so annoying.. all talking at the same time.

Well I know I wandered about and about some more, and only seem to find a handful of peeps at any given time.
Did close down with VFK's Sunny & Hurricane, as well as (the guest formerly known as) Genie, Cyre, Forever, KellySue and a buncha others.

I'll try and be on tomorrow to find more of you...

Sorry guys the game started annoying me with all reloading and losing of features so I figured before I got even more frustrated I called it a night.

I don't know if you've heard or not but they are going to have something called a Welcome Committee which from what I've heard sounds a lot like the Community Leaders that we had in VMK. Except here they will get more then just a badge apparently they will have a uniform they can wear. Now I know a lot of the community leaders did a great job but some of them abused their powers greatly and with them making this program here I must say I'm a bit worried it will get even worse especially if they get to wear special uniforms that was one good thing about the VMK CL program was that they didn't get anything special other then their CL Badge but if they are getting special things from VFK I don't like the sound of that and can already see the WC people acting like staff which if it is the case I wont be playing that game.

They also say they are going to open a game today but they also have said that a few times so I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening today.

"The Game" did open today... nothing to get excited about.
You ride through a forest in a Hummer ala Jungle Cruise, picking up gas cans along the way and clicking on shadowy birds, trying to identify them as a multiple choice window pops up.

I must say I'm very disappointed by this game. It's just a cheap knock off of Jungle Cruise. I did like the Jungle Cruise game but this game is way worse. I don't really want to be playing a game where I have to choose the correct bird just seems kind of lame to me.
