We are going to end up getting there a day early and we were thinking of staying somewhere other than WDW for that night since we don't know when we will get in.
The Sunspree Resort looks ok for one night. Any thoughts on it?

A co-worker of mine stayed there is Dec 07. She said it was "OK", but would not stay there again. They were there for 7 nights. I would imagine that it would be fine for 1 night.

If you are talking about the Holiday Inn Sunspree, we stayed there in 2000, and it was fine.
Nothing compared to a Disney resort but it was nice just the same.
2000 - off site
2002 - Caribbean Beach
2004 - Port Orleans Riverside
2006- Boardwalk Villas
2006 - Coronado Springs
2007- Port Orleans Riverside
2007 - Saratoga Springs
2008- Port Orleans French Quarter
2008- Wilderness Lodge Villas ( Tentatively )
We also stayed there on our very first trip. It was nice. But after we stayed on property, we will probably never stay off again unless the on-property prices become too much.
I think we will be since its only one night. It was just painful to $500+ to stay at the deluxes for one night - on a day we aren't sure of what time we will get into town.
I am usually not the penny pincher...but I guess Clark Howard got the better of me for that one night!
