    Default Winter Wonderland

We have eight inches of snow that fell last night and it's still coming down. It is absolutely beautiful! The trees are all white. I am enjoying every minute.

Does anyone else want to give some snow updates? It definitely looks like Christmas around here.
I am a woman of many moods and they all require chocolate.

It's hard to imagine snow when there are palm trees in your garden...

I'll look at pictures on the internet and think of the beauty that is snow!

Smile winter wonderland not so much

Here in Iowa we have snow and freezing rain coming down. Yuck! It's making me look even more forward to being at Disney in 43 days! I just hate being cold :, and everything always looking gloomy. I'm glad someone's enjoying the winter weather though. I guess it's setting the mood though for x-mas. We're putting up our tree and decorations today.

It's been 25 years since I've had to deal with snow...
On the one hand, I sure to miss playing in the snow and racing snowmobiles at break neck speeds!
On the other hand, my poor bones don't seem to handle cold as well anymore, nor racing around at breakneck speeds!

And if I talk about snow to people around here I get the strangest looks...

Snow?!? I've been shoveling out myself out just over a week now. Yesterday it snowed all day, I wasn't home to shovel it... and today it's raining. Ew. Now I'm pushing around 5 tons of slush.

I haven't seen snow in a few years, but it was the gross frozen mushy dirty type. The clean pretty falling fresh snow I haven't seen since I was a little kid, and boy did I love it. Please post pictures!

    Awww shucks...

Today it's a balmy 37º and our snow is just about gone. All that remains is a broken down snowman. Although, it's supposed to get really cold in a couple of days. Brrr.

On Saturday and Sunday we got over a foot of snow. Then around 6pm Sunday it turned to rain. By Monday afternoon it was 54 degrees out and by Monday night it was all gone.

We finally got a few inches of snow here today.

I wish I had waited to take the kids Xmas card pictures. I took them the other day with a lovely backdrop of bare trees and fallen leaves! Snow would have been so much prettier!

Here in Maryland we just got our first snow of the season, very very early I might add. Normally it doesnt snow till late Jan/Feb. It is the pretty light kind. It has been snowing since morning but there is only about 2inches out and it is sticking to everything but the roads which is great. I managed to venture out to the store which wasnt even a nightmare!

Well if they just mention snow here you think a 500 foot meteoroid was about to strike or something. People freak out! I think at least once last year they called for snow and the schools shut down! We may get a few inches at a time and within a few days it’s gone. People start running to the store looking for milk and bread, trying to stock the house like they will not be able to leave the house for weeks??? LOL!!! That’s the last thing I would want to be stuck with for weeks!!! I would be going after the steaks baby!!!

Hmm well if I was going from the nice warm 80's to the 50's I would say yes but going from our 20's to the 50's I would say that doesn't qualify as cold sorry.

Actually its techinically still fall. I just want to skip winter and go to summer is that so bad? I bet if your weather was stuck in the 20's every day you would agree with me also

50's is now officially shorts weather up here

It was 20 this morning with a Wind Chill factor of about 10

I believe 10 degrees would most likely kill your average Floridian.

You would think! The little rat gets up and runs off to school.. leaving me with snow to get off the walks and driveway before the kids all arrive.

Yeah, that is what it did on this side of the Mountain too. I'm enjoying the warmer weather. My nephew was here last night from Fort McMurray where it was
-13F to our warm 46F. He wouldn't allow us to even call it winter weather.

That's winter parka and ear muffs weather right? At least it was for most of the locals when I was there last year.

Sadly, that's really warm for us.
