panasonic tv's ?

best buy has a good sale on a 42" plasma tv. does anyone own a panasonic flat screen? what do you think?

We own a 42 inch Panasonic plasma and we love it! It replaced a Mitsubishi projection tv, the biggest difference for us is now we can see the screen clearly from any where in the room. The plasma also has great color, but it's not as bright as LCD TVs when it's a sunny day. The picture looks better at night.
We have had it for less then a year, but have had no problems yet. Panasonic has a great reputation for plasma TVs.

We got a Vizio 42" LCD from Costco for $1000. After we researched it to find why it was so cheap. We love it and haven't regreted our purchase.

Is it a 720p or a 1080p HDTV, because the 1080p is the best resolution out there now it hasn't been around as long as the other resolutions. There is 480i which is standard tv, 480p which dvd, 720p, 1080i, and now 1080p which the last three are HDTV. If you ever get a High def dvd player (blu-ray or hd dvd) they use up to the 1080p resolution.

it is the 720p. the tv comes with a 1000 watt 1080p 5-disc dvd home theater system and is on sale for $1399. from what i can find this seems to be a good deal.

You should be getting a better deal then $1399, I looked at there website and it says it's on sale for $1149.99.

just the tv is $1149.99. if you add the price of the surround sound system it goes to $1558. you can get the tv cheaper if you want just the tv. if you buy the package you save about $150
