What are your thoughts on the week before Christmas?

For the last two years we went to Disney world on the last week of August. This year we are thinking Christmas time. What about the week BEFORE Christmas? Say Dec 15th thru the 22nd? I know Christmas Week is crazy so that is out. So what do you think??

We've been in this time frame before. We found the beginning of our trip to be quite manageable though we found the crowds were beginning to pour in by the end of our trip.

Love it, love it, love it! It's my favorite time of year to visit and has become a family tradition. Crowds are small until Christmas Eve (or Christmas weekend, depending on how the holiday falls). A big plus: You don't have to pay extra for MVMCP to see the parade -- it runs during regular hours in the days immediately prior to Xmas.

We were there last year Dec 15-23 and loved it. It was more crowded than when we were there in late September, but still not bad. The atmosphere was wonderful! There is something so cool about being in Disney, walking around in shorts, eating ice cream, with Christmas decorations hanging around.

We just did this in 2006! I loved seeing everything decorated. The only place that seemed overly crowded to us was AK. Maybe it was just the day we decided to go but it was packed and we left by lunchtime because the kids began to turn into to something Our favorite point of the whole trip was MVMCP If you go you should really try the party

We have planned to visit from December 15 - 20th. I've researched several websites and they all suggest that it's a great time of the year to go. I hope it's true!
