    What about pineapple Lizzy?

Has anyone tried acupuncture for their morning sickness? The practitioner I work for has treated women for this and one of the ladies told me its the only thing that kept her from vomiting. Your ob can presribe an antiemetic but I know some people prefer not to take any meds while pregnant.

I will head to the store for a pineapple right now!

A friend of mine had acupuncture for morning sickness and said it was wonderful. I have not tried it myself but I know that acupressure (hubby squeezing pressure points) has been a big relief for aches and pains.

We haven't heard from Lizzy today. Maybe we'll hear some good news soon.

Terra - I'm sorry to hear about your scare. Your baby is healthy and that's all that matters.

I didn't have morning sickness when I was pregnant, but I took 25-50 mg of vitamin B6 every day since before I was pregnant. I'll try it again for my next pregnancy and hopefully I'll be lucky again. From what I understand it's a common remedy in Britain and the rest of Europe. I don't know if it was the B6 or not, and I also don't know if it's too late to take it once the morning sickness starts, but it's worth a shot. Good luck girls!

Terra, another thing that I found was making me sick was the prenatal vitamins. My dr said to take 2 Flinstones vitamins a day instead. Shortly after I started taking them my morning sickness started to subside.

no baby yet I was hoping to have the baby today since it is Walt Disney's birthday. oh well.

Prenatal vitamins are notorious for causing nausea. It's the iron in them. You're supposed to take them on an empty stomach, but taking iron on an empty stomach causes nausea.

This is bad but I haven't even taken my vitamins in about a week to see if that was it and I was still sick....but the OB said I could take Bonine and that has really lessened the sick feeling...now I'm just mostly tired!! LOL

But if I'm late on taking a dose I can feel it almost immediatly...

If I get lucky with this one like with David in about 3 more weeks this should all end and I'll be sailing through the second trimester without any sickness!!! I can dream!! lol

Personally, I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. This pregnancy is way more intense than #1 was and I'm so frustrated! It's really cutting into the excitment of it all. I'm even an emotional wreck. Not me!

Anyhow, I did seem to happen upon a cure for some of the nausea: miso and soy. 1/2 cup of the soup leaves me feeling "normal" (well I'm still exhausted) for 24-48 hours. Now that's progress! Maybe it will work for you guys too!

I feel like I swallowed a volleyball too. Blech.

16 days until my first prenatal appointment.

That baby is still there! Argh!

But the end is in sight, Dr said that if nothing by Friday morning then I will be induced. I am not really happy about that so I am really hoping that something happens in the next 48 hours or so!!

Believe me when I say we have tried EVERYTHING!

Contractions were coming pretty close together last night but still just not close enough to head down to the hospital. So I guess it looks like it will be a Friday baby.

It works out though, my wedding anniversary is Oct 14, my first son's b-day is Nov 14 and now my second son will be Dec 14. Kinda cute.
