You should not have any issues! We always carry pins (for trade on our outbound flights & to add to our collections at home on the returns) in our carry-ons (for safe keeping) and never had an issue....

We use Brita as well. We also have EPCOT bottle straps from previous visits. They attach to the bottle around the neck and hang across body.
