This entire fastpass+/magic bands/dining plans/bottomlessmugs thing is getting out of hand. There's almost no spontaneity if you keep following Disney's idea of a "magically efficient and cost...

The last time I was there I thought the rooms at the very end of the hallways with straight-on views of the lake seemed nice. They're numbered 3166,3167,3168,3169 for the third floor.

We booked that exact week at AKL through Magical Journeys at the rack rate, hoping for a discount later. They wrote back last week saying that some discounts just came out but not for AKL because it...
-
We're planning an early October trip and my niece really wants to stay at AKL - and I'd like to get a room on the Arusha savannah (which I assume is the best one). Question is, should I wait a while...

We're planning a trip in October with my Mom, who's 70 and is very averse to buses - don't get me started...anyway, I've determined that taxis are our best bet if she poops out mid-day or wants to...

As a big cocktail lounge fan, I'd suggest skipping the Outer Rim. I tried it for the first time in January and was thinking to myself that this is not only the most drab bar in WDW but possibly the...

I'm planning a trip for the extended family (5 adults/3 kids) for October 2010 and would like to stay at the Polynesian. Do they have three-bedroom suites, or just two-bedroom? Also, do they have...

I'm going down Oct 30th and wanted to try breakfasts at Boma and Grand Floridian Cafe - early, around 7:30. Do you think reservations are needed? I'd like to keep my schedule open if possible but...

I'm going down on Oct 30 for four days and was wondering if they install the Christmas decorations the day after Halloween? I was at DL at this time several years ago and seem to remember the...

645. Admire the incredible mosaics inside Cinerella Castle.

We always stop in at the counterservice restaurant in Japan (forget the name). The limited choices are very good, it's never that crowded and it's tucked away up in the gardens - very relaxing and...

We always eat a late lunch at Kona Cafe after each visit to MK. It's a nice break before we hop to another park (especially if you get the crab cakes and a couple of glasses of Chardonnay).
-
I'm really in the minority on this one: Kona Cafe. The crab cakes are wonderful, as are the deserts. But if I had kids, I'd probably try Ohana.

I agree with Kathiep - that we all need to be held accountable for the general atmosphere of WDW. Last year in the lobby of WL, I saw a shirtless teenager slumping in one of the chairs like he was...

If I were there in the morning, a walk down to the dock (by Narcoosee's) might be nice. But if you find yourself there around early evening, the orchestra on the second level by the lounge can't be...

I've never considered it but it sounds like a beautiful restaurant and after checking out the menu, I'm definitely going to eat there next time I'm at WDW.

One attraction that I always passed on as a kid was the Tiki Room ( actually I thought the pre-show was the show). As an adult, I really liked it and also enjoyed the AC and darkness. Alas, I now...

The smell of the atrium at the Polynesian is unique - guess it's just all those plants. (btw, why is it that I expect to run into the Brady Bunch at this hotel?

The Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge has a nice atmosphere and views. And if you're a smoker, Jelly Roll's is the only place I've found that you can have a cig indoors with your drink - I go...

And I thought I had energy! Your son shares the same love of food as I do - always willing to try something new. Thanks for a great report (and restaurant review).

I saw the DL makeover several years ago and think is one of the most imaginative things Disney has ever come up with. But not all change is good - like the previous poster, I think the old Tiki was...
-
While I'd have to give the edge to Jiko, I might have to choose Boma simply because the food is so very interesting and well done at both restaurants and being able to choose only a couple of things...

Thanks all for your kind replies. I guess I'll get all my walking done within the resort and take the bus to Epcot. As for my username, I just tried to think of something pleasant and that's the...
-
Yesterday, I tried to make reservations a couple of Epcot spots for dinner and they had nothing available (except for 5:00 or earlier). Since we're going in September, I was kind of shocked that...

We just booked a room at CBR and after viewing an arial photo, realized how close it is to Epcot. Is there a walking path from the resort to the park if we didn't feel like taking the bus?
