I know it's no big deal and I know I'm still at Disney...but there are a few things I look forward to and plan around...

And now I have a question: If I'm going with my husband and children - do we only need 1 TIW card, or do we need 2? How would that work?

So - TiW is better than purchasing the dining plan? I still have young enough kids that we'll be going to character meals and such - I never even considered the TiW card v getting the dining plan. ...

some rooms are on the same floor as the concierge area, some aren't and you have to take the stairs. Try to get the same floor (I've stayed there twice, but blanking on it...I think 5th floor?). ...

Flame tree reopens on Sept. 19th. Of course, my day to be at AK is Sept. 18th! ;) Ah well...Pizzafari it is!

we had lunch there in 2008 and yes, there were characters...however, I've seen it posted repeatedly this year that there will not be characters for lunch in 2010.

We've had lunch there and it was fine. Same entertainment, similar meal options to dinner, I think. There's a meat carving station and pasta and pizza and lots and lots of desserts.

I liked Il Mulino, but we didn't have the sort of outstanding service that the previous poster had. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals there.

I have had a pool view while concierge and didn't expect it and forgot to request savanna...plus it was in january and the pool was closed for refurb and it was a TERRIBLE view!

Gotta go with Chef Mickey's just for the sheer fact that my children light up with delight at the mention of that place.

WCC and Boma are really good too!

we had a party of 18 at 1900 park fare and they got us right next to each other...just ask!

I love Animal Kingdom, but if you are looking for convenience to parks...definitely consider boardwalk or beach club!

I had a pool view club level room on the 6th floor.

I was, however, in DVC studio. There were definitely several rooms with pool view. I guess there may be more savannah views that are not DVC???

We've stayed both savannah view and pool view. savannah is better!

You can ask...they can note it on your ressie.

There are tons of threads on this - you could do a quick search and find more detailed answers. For me, the best value is at Cosmic Ray's at MK. For like $13 you get ribs and chicken and a side and...

Oct '09 - just in front of a backdrop - no characters.

I saw some young kids get scared when the dinos moved and roared while the kids were close and not expecting it.

We loved it but had a 5 y/o and 7 y/o.

Can you imagine a Phineas and Ferb character meal?

I'd go to Disney for that reason alone...
