I have been going to Animal Kingdom for Thanksgiving for the past three years and just made my FP for this year. It has not been overly crowded and I was able to get FP for everything I wanted...

Is the Disney Visa food discount available at the F&W booths?

Can you do Soarin’? If you can then you should be fine with FoP. But yes, you can close your eyes and it mostly goes away...your physical self is not swooping....

Our favorite is Yak & Yeti! I have eaten there solo many times and always enjoy people watching out the windows..ask for a window seat! The food is very tasty and there is a wide variety. The pot...

We went, using fast pass, during the holidays and were totally underwhelmed. Not worth the wait at all....it has so much potential but is just blah!
-
People staying offsite and us locals don’t have a prayer for a FoP FastPass as they are all taken by onsite vacationers who can book in their 60 day window. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.

Just and FYI....you still manage your own trip when you book using Magical Journeys....in this instance they would have already re-booked you at the discount and informed you of your savings. Just...

Not only do I agree....but there is no place better to get your Disney fix....especially when there is no trip planned (saving to retire to Disney!!!!).
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,...

All the best to you and your Gramps!

I've done 6 solo trips and like others have said...I love it. Regarding the dining alone at table service...I always bring a book with me so if I feel the need I can read and not feel awkward but 9...

That's what we do for California Grill too...plus if it's late sometimes you have to go to DTD to get a bus back to your resort, which can ruin a nice dinner!! Enjoy!
-
Two words....Magical Journeys
They would have it booked for you before you even wake up...
-
I would allow 30 minutes from door to door and, with tip, probably $25 ish.

I thought I was the only one who's MANY computer and application passwords are Disney themed...thanks for the validation!

You're awesome for planning this surprise for your family and keeping the secret is half the fun. Nothing like having a visit in the planning stages!!!
Enjoy

He may enjoy 50's Prime Time at DHS (assuming that's where you'll be)...good food and great fun!

I also suggest October because you can take your son to his very first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party....so much fun!!!!!
Oh, and I'm a Wilderness Lodge girl as well....but I would suggest...
