I didn't really consider Disney Magic - I guess you make a good point!

Just realized I hit my 5 year anniversary on INTERCOT last month. I probably have the fewest posts of anyone that has been more or less active for 5 years, but I have enjoyed the experience!

DW returned from a trip to the World last week and yesterday we were driving along and she asked - how do they control the bug population at WDW? Specifically how do they keep the bugs from swarming...

Is it still around? I don't see it on any maps anymore. I'm a big fan of the villains and always love going to that shop.

Does anyone know the current rules for package delivery from the parks to a resort? I'm wondering if I can buy something in the park and get it to my room on the same day. Thanks!

You really won't see the "prime" views on the US side. You can stay close enough to the park so you can walk to the park area where you can see the falls. I'm not sure what it is like when the water...

Most (if not all) of the resorts have children's play areas

Welcome to Intercot! :woohoo:

We had a similar situation. We decided to stay off-site for the day. It gave us a different view or Orlando and was a fun way to start the vacation to know we were so close, but not quite there!

In my mind a 30% chance of rain means there is a 70% chance that it won't rain! :clown:
Don't let the rain change your plans. You can still have a great time at the parks when it is raining.

I stayed at the Marriott many moons ago - it was a very nice hotel and I'm guessing it hasn't changed. I don't believe you are going to find a slide at the pool.
If you like hot dogs, try The...

I got to see it on Broadway 18 months ago and really enjoyed it.
DW and DD get front row seats in October when it comes to Dallas...

Tough question! We've been to both multiple times (going to DL this week!). I think they are a lot different experiences. If you only want to have a Disney experience, I would suggest WDW as you can...

You might also check with your dentist - he might have a contact in Orlando.

It's not the best in the world, but it beats a soft drink for me on a hot day. :shades:

I hear of people taking cabs all the time - I guess the cabbies don't mind the short local trips? I'm thinking they would probably rather have a fare to the airport.

Check with your ISP to see if they offer anything for free. I think it's hit or miss on how it will impact performance on your PC, so try the free one first. I know Time Warner offers CA's version.

DTD isn't a bad consolation prize. Kind of cool when someone else is paying for the trip.
Anyone else take a business trip to Orlando and stay at a WDW resort without going to a park? I have!

Last year, about this time, I had the worst time trying to book La Nouba via the web - ended up not going because it wasn't worth the hassle.
Saved money, still had a great time and never gave it...

You aren't going to get a great look, but if you go to the building at POP with the juke box out front and go to the top floor and to the back side of building where you can see SE, you can see...

Best of luck from here, too!

I only had them once or twice, but I do miss them. I think just about every culture has something they do with fried dough...
Maybe they should do a special fried dough and wine festival....

Enjoy POP for what it is - a great value resort. If you get a chance, stop by and visit POFQ if you can while you are there - it's sort of like an old friend.
We always make plans to visit WL...

I've never really felt like the bus system was any different depending on the resort you were at. We've had good and bad - it's all a matter of timing. Of course, there's no monorail to MK or a short...
