Strategy for Battle in Quest.

I decided we need a post on how to get 575 points in battle to help us get through that part of the quest. It’s too obnoxious trying to explain it all in the game. I am by no way an expert so feel free to add any helpful comments. Here are my thoughts:

1. Find eight players who are willing to stay long enough to help each other through this task.
2. Choose one player at a time to take all the points.
3. Choose one player who everyone has on their list to follow after each game.
4. Find a freaking lobby!
5. Once in the game, have the selected winner stand back out of the fire, while the opposite team makes as many hits possible to bring up the points. Then have the selected player take the points at the end of the round from the opposite team.
6. The selected winner’s team should get health as much as possible to create more points before the other side takes them out.
7. The selected winner must make around 240 points for two rounds to have enough for the task.
8. Make sure you are having fun while playing or it’s just not worth it!

Feel free to add what you think would be helpful for this quest. :)

I think thats a good idea pink.

Also make sure who ever is the selected winner they start the quest right before the game starts, and no body else starts theres until its there trun to win.:)

is it possible to make it work with AI players?

Those are good points, Pink. A couple other suggestions:

1. Shoot from a distance and keep taking pot shots at each other. Try to hit without killing as long as you can.

2. On the round where the winner's team has to lose, you need to time the final shots so that the winner dies but is able to steal all the other player's credits.

That second round may get tricky to time just right. If you let the kraken get you, you don't lose all of your points, I think about half though.

I agree, it is a hassle. However, the pay off, IF enough ppl can make it work I think is worth it. And that's a big IF... and no I don't think you can do it with ai players, no points can be accumulated from them.

And don't listen to Pink, just because she never leaves doesn't mean the rest of us don't. Hehe.

We have gotten Four players through pirates this morning doing the following:

You need a six player game.
(We are doing four players six computers).

Player to win starts game and uses fast ship. All other players use default ship.
This way, the fast ship shoots max of 3 cannonballs and cannot sink other ships fully healthy ships.

When a ship is ready to be shot, they manuever near 'shooter' and say "i" (for I am ready)

Ships that need health say "q" (for quit do not shoot) and they get health back to 4.
The cycle repeats.

When the gold round starts the shooter should pull up by each ship and sink them with at least 2 preferably all three cannonballs. This gets the most points transfered. If you only sink with 1 shot, it is possible to not get all the points transferred.

The goal is to get 240+ in each round. If this happens, you do not need a third round. If the score is not high enough and a third round is needed, the shooter must sink all but the last player (in the gold cannonball phase) with regular cannonballs. Then the last other player sinks the shooter with single cannonballs until the shooter sinks and hopefully keeps some points.

The third round then goes same as first round.

General tips:

Players give shooter room to shoot
Shooter try to shoot only toward target ship (others are getting health)
Players waiting to get shot should come in line almost to shooter and then stop and let shooter line up.
Don't stop so long kraken gets you
