This This 100 times This!
I enjoy the ride and go on it every visit!
Just needs some TLC and some updates!

It needs to stay. My Mother saw the original when it ran in the NY World's Fair.
It either needs a COMPLETE update OR a COMPLETE RETRO update - go back to the original World's Fair set up.
It is one of my must do's every trip. Please don't take it away.:stop:
It seems the votes on this thread make it clear. As long as there is a DisneyWorld, there should be a Carousel of Progress. It's one of my all-time favorite attractions.
It has to stay! Couldn't imagine going and not riding CoP!
It should go on as long as WDW exists. It is as much a part of the Magic Kingdom as "Walt's Window" is to Main Street. For those who know the history of Disneyland and Walt Disney World, this attraction is an essential part of the guest experience and Walt's legacy.
It's gotta stay. Like it so much I have the music as one of my ringtones on my phone. Alternates with Soarin and Illuminations theme music.
CoP is a must raid every trip !!!!!:mickey: Also , seeing it was Walt's creation it should NEVER go !!!!!!!!!
Keep it
I love it and would miss it if it were to go
but that last scene really needs an update
Like every single person on this thread I say keep it. The only thing I would like to see changed is go back to "Now is the Time" for the theme song every once in awhile. They could alternate the theme song every year or so!
Keep it. It represents the best of what Disney is.
I have had this idea for a while. How about moving CoP to Epcot. Gut the WoL building and put an UPDATED version of CoP there. This adds a needed attraction to Future World which fits the theme and frees up space in Tomorrow Land. (Yes, I know there is a similar theme in SE.)
I love COP the song is the ringtone on my phone, it just makes me smile because of the sweet optomism ^.^
No, I love this. However, it could really use a refurb and some updating.
I have to admit that last year was the first time I was ever on the COP, and now I wonder why I waited! I hope it stays, refurb or not! I can't wait to go on it again this year and see what I missed the first go around. Now that I have read some of the history behind it, I think that it would be some how sacrilegious to remove it!
I say keep it. My daughter absolutel loves it, which shocks me since she is 8 and has loved it for ears. I do admit I don't go on it ever trip, especially with oung kids that don't want to sit still, but my daughter always goes and I think it is a nice relaxing trip back in time.
Seeing as how it's only been open once during my 6 trips (and we hit it because of torrential rains and a short line in the middle of the summer), I can't say I'd miss it if it were gone. If they replaced it with something else, I'd would have no problem with that. But that's just me. I also like the Tiki Room with Iago, the Leave a Legacy monoliths, and the giant Sorcerer's hat - which most people on this board are complete opposite.
Keep! Love watching it with my 12 year old who always sings the song - hilarious how he can sound just like the guy! :number1:
There is zero reason to remove it.
Unless someone thinks "well I personally don't enjoy the show and even though I'm in the minority and don't understand the historical significance of the attraction or why it means so much to so many people it should be removed to cater to my interests" is a valid reason.
It isn't.
I would love to see the audio get upgraded (it's getting hard to hear in some spots), but it's definitely a keeper.
